Frequently Asked Questions

What is and isn't included in the free plan?
Our free plan comes with 2 users total, 2 budgets total, and 20 expense rows per budget, that you can use for as long as you want. Other than these limitations, you will have full access to Allocadia. If you exceed our free plan allowance at anytime - in either one of these 3 areas - we have paid plans that you can upgrade to.

2 users total: You can Invite 1 user to access either one or both of the budgets you have created. You can grant them access as either an Administrator, Editor or Viewer. You are included as a user, so this will total 2 users under your account.

2 budgets total: The 2 budgets in the free plan applies to Owner role only. You can create a total of 2 budgets in your account, listed on the Dashboard tab. Your role for these budgets will be Owner. If someone invites you to access one of their budgets (as either an Administrator, Editor or Viewer), this does not count towards your 2 budgets total under the free plan.

20 expense rows per budget: In each of your 2 budgets, you can add up to a maximum of 20 rows. Expense rows are individual line items or expense items. For example, “Tradeshow booth cost” for $1,000 is one expense row. You can have unlimited Categories or Sub-Categories.

How do I upgrade to a paid plan?
We’re glad to see you diving in! Review the plan options available above, and let us know which plan you’d like to sign-up to through our Web form at www.allocadia.com/upgrade. Or, if you exceed our free plan allowance and we haven’t heard from you - keep using Allocadia - and we’ll get in touch to discuss plan options. We’ll send you an estimate to review, and the invoice date will only start on your approval date. What is the difference between "users" and "View-only users"?
Users are Administrators or Editors, and View-only users are Viewers. You allocate Roles to your users when you give them access to a budget; Click on Invite beside your individual budgets on the Dashboard tab. Your user amounts only count towards budgets that you are the Owner of.

Administrators: Administrators can do everything you can do, including edit your budget template and data. This role is useful for a user who is managing the budgeting process, setting up the template, and adding other users.

Editors: Editors cannot edit your template, but they can edit budget data. This role is useful for users who will be editing budget data, but who should not have access to editing the budget template or adding others users.

Viewers: Viewers cannot edit your template or data, but they can view all data in the Budgets and Reports tabs. This role is useful for budget stakeholders such as Finance or Executive team members.

What happens if other people have given me access to more than 2 budgets?
Only the Owners of budgets sign-up to paid plans. If someone has added you as a user to their paid account, only they sign-up to a paid plan. For example, you could be a non-paying customer if you are an Editor or Administrator on 3 budgets or if you are an Editor on 1 budget that exceeds 20 expense rows.

Can I cancel at anytime?
If you signed-up to a month-to-month plan, yes, you can cancel at anytime. If you signed up to a yearly plan, we can discuss cancellation options. Please contact us via our pricing contact form or call us at 1.866.684.0935.

Do I have to sign a contract?
We ask that all account holders, free or paid, accept our Customer Agreement & Privacy Policy at the sign-up process. You can review the full agreements by clicking on the name of the agreement.

What payment options do you accept?
Credit Card or Cheque. Accepted credit cards: Mastercard, Visa & American Express
Can I share logins with multiple users?
Each user should have their own email login. We've structured our pricing plans so that it is cost-effective to add users to your Allocadia account. Marketing teams will benefit from giving each individual spender access to the account to track their marketing spend.
