Allocadia and the Environment

Environmental Standards

Allocadia conducts its business with respect and consideration for the environment. As a service organization, our operations are entirely office-based. Thus, our environmental impact is small compared to that of manufacturing companies. Yet, even office-based businesses have the opportunity to impact the environment in a positive way. Allocadia’s office is located in a building that is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) EB:OM gold certified.

  • We are committed to minimizing the generation of waste in collaboration with our Landlord, through waste reduction, reuse initiatives, recycling and responsible procurement practices.
  • We recycle glass, metals, plastics, paper, organics, electronics and soft plastics.

What we’re doing

We have a special role and responsibility to confront the challenge of climate change by reducing our greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption and waste.

In 2016, Allocadia is establishing a long-term commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption and waste using data collected from a base line period. The baseline period is defined as June 2016 to December 2016. In 2016, we will develop new greenhouse gas emissions, energy and waste reduction goals based on the recommendation of a planned Task Force composed of leadership and staff. This plan will be updated at that time to reflect our new goals.

Goals Progress (to be updated)
Reduce scope 1 and 2 emissions 5% by January 2018
Reduce energy consumption 5% by January 2018
Reduce waste volume by 10%

We have not received and regularly fines or penalties of a material nature.
